MAUD GAGNÉ, DIRECTOR & FOUNDER

Maud holds a Bachelor of Laws from Université Laval and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Barreau du Québec - Quebec Law Society. While at Laval University, Maud led the Jurimetrics Lab's English language team responsible for setting up the digital retrieval of all the federal statutes of Canada. She practised law with the Québec law firm of Gagné, Letarte et associates for 10 years and later on headed the legal department at the Conseil du Patronat the primary coalition of employers and a major lobbying firm for business interests.

She continued her career in Europe in the financial field. After returning to Canada, she joined a major law firm and large public company in the translation, editing and revision of annual information documents related to the governance of public companies. She is a director of the Canadian Association of Legal Translators. With over 17 years experience in the field, she specializes in corporate governance, verifying the legal compliance of corporate documents. She designed the USPTO patented System and Method for Generating Task-embedded Documents designed to facilitate compliance verification that is adaptable to many types of documents.
